Shannen's Dream

Who is this Shannen? What is Shannen'sDream? You may ask. You know Shannen grew up going to school in portables in a small town called Attawapiskat,Ontario up north. Shannen had a dream a dream that all first nation children  should able go to school,schools that gave them hope and  inspiration. The portables in Attawapiskat are very small and plus there in a toxic field ! So many broken promises she knew this wasn't right for first nation children to beg or fight for a proper school. At the age of 13 years old Shannen Koostachin was nominated for the international children’s peace prize for her work.  She never once thought to worry about herself, instead she turned the focus on her community, Attawapiskat. What she did just touched my heart, Did it touched yours? picture your child ,nephew , your siblings or you. No child shold ever have to beg or fight for a proper school. Across Canada Shannen touched so many hearts, But she wasn't able to see her dream come true. On June 1st,2010 Shannen had died due to a horrific car accident. My prayers and thoughts go to her family and friends. Right now there are 5273  supporters around the world. Are you supporting?
